Gluten & Dairy Free Walnut Pie

Ingredients:

Crust:  

  •  2 1/2 cups walnuts
  • 1 1/2 tbsp finely chopped dates
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Filling:

  • 2 large sliced apples
  • 2-3 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2tsp vanilla

Method:

  • Add the walnuts, dates, vanilla and cinnamon to a blender
  • Spread the dough in a pie container
  • Slice the apples thinly and sprinkle lemon juice to avoid apple oxidation
  • Slice the strawberries in half
  • Add the strawberries and apples (or any filling of your preference*)
  • Store in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving

*Filling alternatives can be any fruit or nuts of your choice*
